A group of 8 of us had the opportunity to share a weekend at Snow Owl Retreat. This place is "heaven on earth". A new construction - contemporary design home by a well respected architect makes for a feeling you've entered another galaxy. Spacious rooms, new furnishings, impeccably clean over looking Lake on the Mountain. Modern appliances, wifi, surround sound and endless trails nearby. We cant wait to experience it again in the summer months where we can make use of the expansive pool, summer BBQ and tranquility of nature. A short drive to great wineries and restaurants and cafes. ITS THE PLACE TO BE IN PEC!
My fiance and I were looking for a unique place to have a small elopement ceremony which came about as a result of COVID. We got engaged at Fogo Island Inn, and when we came across the Snow Owl Retreat, the architecture reminded us of this. The reviews couldn't have been more accurate, and it does exceed expectations upon arrival. It is clean, well-appointed, very unique....and has stunning views!! It was a spectacular and magical spot for our private ceremony. John was unbelievably welcome, kind, and responsive, and went above and beyond to make our wedding and stay just a dream. We are so grateful to him. Chef Neil also cooked and served throughout the day, and his food was fantastic. This spot is a gem...highly recommend!! Thank you John!
The Snow Owl Retreat is truly like no other. The sprawling location has one of the best views we have ever seen along with a pristine pool and top notch amenities. Plenty of PEC favourites to visit nearby but you won’t want to leave.

SURREAL - the word we repeated daily to describe this retreat! The Snow Owl is the perfect private getaway that will make you never want to leave. It has unobstructed views of Glenora all the way through to the Bay of Quinte, that you can take in from all points of the property.
We got to soak up the last days of summer in the beautiful heated infinity pool overlooking the water. The property is well-maintained and stocked with all the tools and trinkets you'd use in a chef's kitchen (BBQ, gas kitchen range, freezer/ice maker, dishwasher, dishes/cutlery, oils/s&p, keurig and nespresso, etc.).
We made good use of the Sonos sound system and cozy living area fit for a good group of family or friends.
Lots of wonderful attractions and places to visit around - Cressy Mustard, Waupoos Winery, Huff Estates Winery, Miller House The Inn or Cafe are the ones we checked out but honestly, staying put at the retreat is absolutely worth it too. Each time we came back to the property we were in awe all over again.
We will absolutely be back again, this was a perfect getaway that made us feel safe, taken care of and RELAXED!
This place is absolutely gorgeous as you can see on the pictures. The view is amazing , the design is beautiful and will certainly be even better as soon as the pool is ready (which should be anytime now). We loved our weekend there, rooms are great and all have private bathrooms, kitchen is beautiful so is everything else in this house.

We had the most wonderful stay at snowowl. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s 10x nicer in person. We really didn’t want to leave. John the owner is super nice, always available by phone. He was also very accommodating with our dates and made sure we had a good time. The place is really clean with top notch furnitures and appliances. We would definitely return next year.
Had a wonderful time at the Snow Owl Retreat in July this summer ! The entire home is new, clean and PRIVATE. Spent the day lounging by the warm infinity pool which is kept lit well into the evening, perfect for late night swims. The towels were incredibly plush and soft, the bedding was also very comfortable. Everything worked beautifully and there was plenty of space for our group! We went for dinner down the street at Lake in the Mountain and the food was excellent. There is also a chef you can book at the retreat as well. I highly recommend the snow owl, my only advice is to make your reservations in advance! The area is quite popular and everything books up quickly.
Our family generally enjoys the Christmas holidays down south , however due the Covid19 lockdown , we stayed closer to home. . For years we've enjoyed the PEC area during the summer - however never did we consider it for the winter . Must say we certainly enjoyed our Picton stay . The views were as outstanding as the interior. As foodies , the kitchen more than surpassed our expectations John the owner , was very attentive to our needs . I'd highly recommend Snow Owl - In fact subject to summer availability we are considering a week stay
Our group of 5 adults and a baby had an incredible stay. The view is absolutely stunning from every room. The beds were very comfortable and everyone had a great nights sleep. Each room had a stunning bathroom so no one had to share. The kitchen is fully equipped with a nespresso, keurig, and regular coffee pot. Our favourite thing to do was to sit outside in the morning with our coffee and soak in the view. The house is very peacefully and private. It was the perfect place to host my girlfriends birthday. The BBQ was big and easy to use. The fireplace made the place feel cozy at night. There was a great restaurant and cafe downtown the street. If you want to get out, there is plenty within a short drive, and if you want to stay in, the view is all you need. We will definitely be coming back.

It’s an amazing place. All my friends like the modern design. The room is clean and all facilities are convenience. The host warmly giving all useful suggestion of nearby interest points and response very quick at any time. We wish we time time to return to this great place some time.
